Wow! You've really improved your craft over the years! It's a lot of fun to see these when artists do them. It's also inspiring, and makes it less depressing to keep plugging away at things.

I've tried to make a doll now, and I'm still confused how you manage to work on such a small scale. It's so tiny! So bravo on that front as well. :)

I think it shows that we are all human and we can all improve. When I made the original doll I got lots of comments telling me how awesome it was and how amazing I was at hair and dresses, and I look at it now and go "wtf were those people smoking."

Small scale is really about illusion and less about representation. Gotta make people believe it's an eye instead of actually drawing an eye as it were. That and subtle colour changes can make a world of difference.

You old dolls are still wow, but the new ones are WOW!! If that makes any sense.

The small size threw me for a loop, but for my next one I'll try to keep that in mind and see if I can wrap my brain around it better. I need to learn some new tricks. :)

It is, that was me being wide eyed and amazed. ^_^ both the redolls are so pretty, it is fun to see the difference and the progress.

I'm annoyed because I found out today thanks to a deviant that the cream robes doll was originally on a historical dolls base and you can find it at Bunnystick along with the DHF. I was like "damn I could have used the original base and everything!"

Maybe at some point in the future you can re-redoll it?

It's amazing to see how much people have improved in their craft. The thing that really stands out to me is the bottom of the dress and how much depth it adds, even by just changing the outline.

Indeed. Weirdly at the time I made the original all my other dolls have more rounded hems so perhaps I was trying something new at this point... XD
