A warm up / lets have an experiment. Redrawing with a little more detail and reference a gymnastics piece I did while watching the Olympics.
Some success some failure but I do rather like it :D Now on to what I was really supposed to draw tonight.

change the purple swirl into hazy sparkles and voila it will be a magic wand

I've yet to see someone in Harry Potter perform this move while trying to Kill Voldemort... XD
